Nakashima - Modernism Musem Mount Dora

Presented by Main Street Leasing, Modernism Museum Mount Dora boasts a unique and expansive collection of Modernist art by some of the most iconic and significant American masters of the craft. The new exhibit “esherick to NAKASHIMA” opened October 3 for public admission. Nakashima’s pieces, in which he philosophically uses wood to focus on the soul of the tree, its life and legacy, are featured. Also showcased is the Museum’s permanent collection by Wharton Esherick – the “Dean of American Craftsman” who is credited with being one of the most influential artists of Modernism and the American Studio Arts Movement. In this exhibition, the theme continues…the DNA of Modernism.
